Breaking in the new year with the Clash of Champions at Hoosier RC Hobbyplex in New Albany, Indiana! I spent the last few weeks of 2023 settling into my new home in Arizona so to get back on track and race on the clock felt right at home. The Henley family provided us racers with an excellent layout and maintained exceptional track conditions all weekend, and that’s one of the reasons why all of us keep coming back! #doingitright

With the new year, we brought in the #RC10B7 to debut at this event! We got to work on the setup and having all the guys at the event made setup changes that much easier. It was nice to get the overall TQ with it as well. In the 4wd class, a few changes were made after Q1 and ended up starting 3rd. In truck, qualifying was an up and down battle with having a transponder issue and some driving errors in the rounds turned into an 8th starting spot.

The JConcepts Smoothie 2’s were perfect all weekend out there! We had Jason Ruona in the house from JConcepts with all the supplies for us to go fast out there 💪🏼 I ran Smoothie 2’s in silver compound all week long in all 3 classes.

The mains proved to be challenging as expected on a high grip, glued surface. In 2wd, it was up and down in the mains and I finished off 3rd overall. My pace in A3 was on par but an unlucky tumble ended the run. The 4wd mains told the same story. I had a good battle with Dakotah in A2 but wasn’t close enough to get the job done, resulting in 3rd overall also. For the Mod Truck mains, the first main went good and I finished up in 3rd. The A2 and A3’s didn’t go as well with lower finishes, resulting in 6th overall.

Not the results I wanted to finish the weekend off with but we made good progress on the new #RC10B7 and it’s only going to get better! Thanks to all of my sponsors and my Dad for their support!
